The Trial of Odysseus at the National Hellenic Museum

2/4/2026

The National Hellenic Museum in Chicago is hosting a retrial of the Greek figure Odysseus, the hero of Homer's epic poem The Odyssey. Returning home from war, Odysseus finds men attempting to seize his land and home.  He responds by taking their lives.  Attendees will hear the arguments and decide whether he was a hero or a criminal. Having done historical retrials, the Commission is interested to see other organizations do the same. Can’t wait to see how this turns out! To attend the retrial, visit the National Hellenic Museum website.
