The Illinois History Fair has been happening for over fifty years. This year, the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission gave an award for the most outstanding exhibit on the Illinois court system. This year's recipient was Abigail, a junior high student from La Salle's Trinity Catholic Academy. TCA is coed and Roman Catholic affiliated, serving 216 students in grades PK-8.
Abigail said she became interested in the topic through her mother who works in a law firm. Abigail said, "I looked at other judicial topics but thought I could relate more to this subject."
The award was presented by John Lupton, Director of History Programs for the Agency.
